MAGI: The Labyrinth Of Magic

____________________________________________________________

Lesson ❖ o1 ❖

Yamuraiha: Don't call her weak in any way, that majorly drives her up the wall.

Pisti: And also don't interfere during battle when you see she has everything under control.

❣________________________________________❣

As usual, the Sindrian bazaar was busy and crowded. Every time the merchant ships returned there was always a lot of pushing and shoving at the harbor before the merchandise and goods were brought to the market and put up for sale.

You were currently strolling around the streets, basket in hand, browsing the various booths and the products the sellers had to offer. You were mainly looking for food since you wanted to cook dinner for the King, the Generals and yourself this evening. Being very close friends with all of them, you held a high position within the palace.

Stopping in front of an apple store, you eyed the luscious red fruits for a few seconds. "Oh, if that isn't Lady [Name]. What a pleasant surprise to meet you here, would you like to buy some apples?" You directed your gaze up towards the source of the voice, only to see an elderly man standing in front of you. Despite the many wrinkles, his face was adorned by a gentle smile.

You gave him a small smile of your own. "Many thanks and indeed, I'd like to buy some apples."

After a short exchange of apples for gold coins you went on your merry way. Casting a glance into your now full basket, you pondered for a short moment. 'Now that I've got everything I need it wouldn't hurt to take a quick side-trip to the clothing stores. I could use some new casual gear.' Smiling, you turned into a side street, but before you even had a chance to take a step forward a short yet powerful quake almost made you topple over.

A startled murmur went through the crowd of people and shortly afterwards a gigantic serpentine creature raised its head out of the water, releasing an earsplitting roar. After uncovering your ears, your eyes immediately flickered towards the harbor where the scaled beast spat several water jets at the cottages of the inhabitants, destroying them in the process.

Furrowing your eyebrows, you heaved an annoyed sigh. 'Great, a Southern Creature. Just what we need now.'

"Lady [Name]!"

"Huh?" Turning around, you spotted one of the palace's attendants running towards you. He was easily recognizable due to Sindria's official clothing. Stopping in front of you, the middle-aged man propped his hands up on his knees to catch his breath. "Lady [Name], I've been searching for you. Are you alright?"

You nodded reassuringly. "Don't worry about me, I'm fine. But the people at the harbor need immediate help; I'll take care of that."

Just as you turned around, the attendant interjected; "But milady, shouldn't we wait until His Highness and the 8 Generals finish the Southern Creature off? It's too dangerous for you to fight against it on your own, you might even get killed."

Hearing those words, your shoulders twitched ever so slightly as you slowly turned your head towards the man. A menacing shadow was cast over your eyes as you twisted your mouth into a forced smile. The official recoiled at the sinister vibes you emitted. Okay, this was definitely a sensitive spot. "This time we won't need them. I will solely handle this beast without anyone's help.

"And now enough with the small talk. I'm off." With that said you carelessly tossed your basket at him before running off. The weight almost made the attendant stumble to the ground; just how much did you buy?! As he took a gander at the basket's content, his eyes widened to the size of saucers. Apples, watermelons, apricots, hot peppers, potatoes, mandarins, star fruits and a lot more.

A big sweat drop slid down the back of his head. 'A lady shouldn't carry such heavy things. But in Lady [Name]'s case it's futile to tell her that, she wouldn't listen anyway...' Letting out a puff of air, the attendant made his way back to the palace to bring the basket into the kitchen.

*~*~*

Upon arriving at the harbor, your eyes widened at the havoc the Southern Creature has already wreaked. Devastated houses, snapped palm trees and panicked people searching for shelter was the sight greeting you. It's been quite some time since a Southern Beast this ferocious has 'gotten lost' in the harbor of Sindria.

"Lady [Name]! Please help us!" a voice suddenly called out to you. Turning your head towards the source, you saw a young woman trying to shield her two children from the debris. That sight violently tugged at your heartstrings.

"Please rest assured! I will protect you with my life!" you called back as you stood straight, crossing over your arms in front of your chest and closing your eyes. The bracelets you wore around each wrist suddenly started to glow.

"Spirit of Superiority and Fortitude, I order thine ancestors to use my magoi to give me power. Come forth, Orobas!" you whispered as the eight-pointed star appeared on each bracelet, your Metal Vessels. Gracefully jumping up in the air, you started to take on your Djinn Equip, thunderbolts surrounding you as you did so.

Orobas was a Lightning Djinn and had the appearance of a human lizard which was shown in your Full Djinn Equip. Your hands, lower arms, feet and calves have turned into claws, scales adorning your thighs, sides, upper arms, cleavage, neck and cheeks. A beautiful armor studded with a few jewels here and there covered your female areas (aka bust and lower region) and an ornate tiara graced your forehead. Jewelry embellished your upper arms, neck and left ear and a see-through satin train was tied around your hips beneath the armor.

Your bracelets had turned into rather large, golden chakrams, elaborate adornments engraved along their blades. Once in a while golden sparks would dance across your body and weapons, creating a crackling sound all the while.

Distracted by the light the Southern Creature turned its serpentine head towards its origin, only to meet your cold gaze. Instinctively it reared its head back and spat a powerful jet of water your way. Seeing the incoming lethal attack, you simply crossed your chakrams in front of your chest and created a lightning shield, effortlessly deflecting the water jet.

You knew that water conducted electricity so, while still deflecting, you let a lightning jump across the torrent until it reached the serpentine beast, vigorously paralyzing it. The creature interrupted its attack and let out an agonizing roar of pain.

This was your chance to deal the final blow. You wound up to throw one of your chakrams until---

"[Name]! Let me take care of the rest!"

Before you could even react, a flash of white hair brushed past you as Sharrkan activated his Household Vessel.

"Foraz Saiqa!"

With an unbelieving look on your face you watched as Sharrkan skillfully sliced up your prey. Your prey notabene. "[Name]! Come down!" you heard a female voice exclaim. Looking below, you noticed Yamuraiha waving at you, Ja'far and Masrur standing next to her. Complying with her request, you descended and as soon as your feet touched the ground you turned back to your normal appearance, your bracelets finding their way back onto your wrists.

...

But something was off. Yamuraiha and Ja'far couldn't help but smile nervously and take a cautious step away from you because you were emitting an extremely enraged aura, even though your eyes were completely focused on Sharrkan. Masrur remained oblivious of the atmosphere as his own gaze rested on the white-haired swordsman.

After a few seconds Sharrkan had completely sliced and deboned the Southern Beast, the meat lying slivered on large white cloths. By now Sinbad and the rest of the Generals had joined your little group, waiting for the green-eyed male to finish his performance.

Said man had raised an arm, gesturing towards the large slices of meat. A bright smile graced his features. "Well then, guys, you know what this catch means. Make sure to share everything evenly tonight." After those words the people started to cheer as they began to diligently prepare everything for the following night.

Sheathing his sword, Sharrkan made his way over to you, Sinbad and the Generals. "Well done, Sharrkan." Sinbad praised the white-haired swordsman who grinned in return, intertwining his fingers behind his head. "It was nothing." Then he turned his attention to you.

"And [Name], you were really---"

Before Sharrkan had the chance to end his sentence he was smacked upside the head by none other than you. "Ouch! What the hell was that for?!" the tanned male exclaimed with slightly furrowed eyebrows, holding his now aching head where a bump had already grown.

You glowered at him. "What were you thinking, Sharrkan? This beast was my prey, how dare you butt in like that? Do you think I'm..." You paused for a second. "Weak or something?!" The green-eyed man could literally see the vein throbbing at your head. Without thinking about it, Sharrkan just said out loud what was on his mind.

"Well, the fact that you had to transform into your Djinn Equip just to defeat this creature was pretty wea---"

SMACK!

Without looking back one more time, you made your way back to the palace, your [dominant] fist raised and a huge anger vein throbbing at the back of your head. Sharrkan was lying face down on the ground, holding his aching head as he listened to the sizzling sound of his (now two) bumps.

Sinbad and the Generals (with the exception of Masrur) watched your retreating form with big sweat drops sliding down the back of their heads before slowly turning towards the poor swordsman. Pisti perched next to him. "Oh man, your bickering with [Name] is even worse than with Yamu."

"Shut up, Pisti. Just shut up."

Sinbad let out a tired sigh. "Oh well, let's just leave it at that. I'm sure [Name]'s mood will be getting better at nightfall. After all we'll be celebrating a Maharagan."

Some of the Generals dared to doubt that though...
Fandom: MAGI: The Labyrinth Of Magic
Pairing: Sindria x Female!Reader

NEXT: Lesson o2

A little series I decided to write just for the fun of it. "Wadd's Little Helpers" is another reposted story of mine so the following lessons shall be up soon. ;]

Furthermore, although I wrote Sindria x Female!Reader as the pairing [Name] won't have any romantic interaction with Yamuraiha & Pisti (since I don't write Female!Reader x Female!Character) and Hinahoho & Drakon (because those two are already married). Also, I'm not sure how many lessons this series will contain. My original goal was 15 lessons, but it all depends on how the story progresses.

[[SIDE NOTE]] 'Wadd' is the Arabian god of love & friendship.
